Small End Cage (KBK)

The Small End Cage (KBK) is used at the connecting rod small end and is commonly referred to as a piston pin bearing. It consists of precision-engineered needle roller and cage assemblies designed to support high-speed and high-frequency oscillating loads in automotive engines.

These assemblies are internally guided, meaning the connecting rod bore radially guides the cage with minimal clearance. This design significantly reduces tilting of the connecting rod, ensuring smooth motion, enhanced durability, and reliable engine performance.

Key Features & Benefits

  • - for piston pin and connecting rod small-end applications
  • - Internally guided cage for high positional stability
  • - Minimal internal radial clearance reduces misalignment
